Universal Orlando Resort has officially unveiled its most ambitious project yet—Epic Universe, a sprawling new theme park that opened today, May 22, 2025. As the first major theme park addition in Florida in 25 years, Epic Universe is already making waves in the entertainment world.
What Awaits Inside Epic Universe
Epic Universe spans over 750 acres and features five immersive lands, each accessed through a central hub called Celestial Park. This area is adorned with astrological motifs, lush gardens, and the iconic Chronos Tower, serving as the park’s gateway. Celestial Park also boasts attractions like the Stardust Racers, a dual-launch roller coaster reaching speeds up to 62 mph, and the Constellation Carousel, offering a whimsical ride experience.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic
Step into 1920s Paris and the British Ministry of Magic, inspired by the Fantastic Beasts series. The highlight here is Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, a dark ride that transports guests through the Floo Network into a thrilling chase involving familiar characters.
Super Nintendo World
Gamers can immerse themselves in Super Nintendo World, featuring attractions like Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, an augmented reality racing simulator, and Mine-Cart Madness, a Donkey Kong-themed roller coaster that creates the illusion of jumping over gaps. How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk
Experience the Viking village of Berk with attractions suitable for all ages. Highlights include Hiccup’s Wing Gliders, a family coaster, Fyre Drill, a water ride perfect for hot days, and Dragon Racer’s Rally, a thrilling flat ride. The area also features Viking-inspired eateries and live shows.
Dark Universe
Delve into the gothic world of Universal Monsters in Dark Universe. This land brings classic horror stories to life with attractions and dining experiences that pay homage to iconic characters like Frankenstein and Dracula.
Culinary Delights Across the Park
Epic Universe offers over 30 dining locations with more than 100 unique menu items. From the Mario Burger at Toadstool Cafe to the Northern Lights Martini at Celestial Park’s Atlantic restaurant, the park’s culinary offerings are as immersive as its attractions. Other notable treats include Mac & Cheese Cones at Hooligan’s Grog & Gruel and the Monocane Mocktail served in souvenir lab glassware at the Burning Blade Tavern.
Ticket Information
Tickets for Epic Universe are being released in phases:
- October 22, 2024: Vacation packages and three-day (or longer) tickets, including one day at Epic Universe, became available. Prices range from $374.88 to $554.87 per person, depending on dates.
- October 24, 2024: Universal Orlando annual passholders received priority access to purchase single-day tickets.
- General Public: Additional ticket options, including single-day tickets, will be available in the months leading up to the park’s opening.

On-Site Accommodations
Three new hotels complement the Epic Universe experience:
- Universal Helios Grand Hotel: Opening today, this 500-room Mediterranean-themed hotel is located within the park and offers exclusive guest access.
- Universal Stella Nova Resort: Opened on January 21, 2025, this 750-room resort features a resort-style pool, bar, and quick-service dining.
- Universal Terra Luna Resort: Opened on February 25, 2025, this resort offers over 700 rooms with a solar system theme, quick-service restaurants, and an outdoor pool.
